BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood has been announced as this year’s celebrity guest to switch on Marlow’s Christmas lights.
Ms Kirkwood will kick off Marlow’s Christmas festivities when she switches on the lights from atop a double-decker bus in High Street at 6.30pm on Thursday, November 20.

Ms Kirkwood said: "I’m really looking forward to coming to Marlow to switch on the Christmas lights.
“It’s such a beautiful town with a fantastic community spirit, and I’ve always loved visiting.
“I can’t wait to see everyone gathered together to celebrate the start of the festive season - I forecast a wonderful snowy evening.”
High Street will be closed to traffic from 3.30pm to 8pm on the night, with crowds expected to begin gathering in Marlow High Street from 6pm for the switch-on event.
‘Snow’ will start to fall in High Street after the switch on, as stilt walkers and entertainers help stir up some festive fun.

“It’s always a special moment for our town, and having a familiar face from the BBC join the celebrations makes it even more enjoyable.
