UK fashion label Jane & Marilyn has launched a bridal service. Designed for ‘grown up’ brides, and ladies seeking an alternative to the traditional gown, Jane & Marilyn’s designs reference 1950s' glamour, with a twist.

Echoing the flattering, elegant style of that era, dresses accentuate the waist, glide over the hips and embrace curves. Many of the dresses seen in the Premiere and Silk collections can be tailored to a bride’s needs – whether it’s ivory silk taffeta or pastel wedding shades, Jane & Marilyn can source the fabric and colourway for a bespoke design. Crystal or pearl buckles and buttons can be added for extra sparkle.
“Whether it’s a civil ceremony, a second marriage, a more mature bride, or renewing of vows - our designs offer sophisticated and feminine tailoring with a touch of old style Hollywood glamour,” comments head designer, Jane Foddy.
The brand has also teamed up with A-list milliner, Sean Barrett (credits include Downton Abbey, Alice in Wonderland, Anna Karenina and a host of Hollywood stars), who has created a selection of exclusive hats to complement the label’s designs.
