The wait is over – it is time to choose your Top Pet 2025.

Readers have sent in pictures of their household companions as part of our annual search for the area’s favourite pet.

Now it is time to pick your favourite from the entries featured in the gallery above.

Just pick your favourite pet, remember their number and name, and vote in the poll below to choose their favourite. 

The winner will be the pet which polls the most votes.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept postal votes.

The Top Pet winner will receive a photoshoot for them and their pet with a professional photographer and a framed 8”x10” photograph of choice from the shoot.

This year, Waitrose in Maidenheadis offering the winner £100 worth of pet products.

The Moorbridge Road store has recently undergone a multi-million-pound transformation, which even includes a new frozen food section for pets as part of its extensive range of foods, treats, toys and accessories for cats and dogs.

Mark Brown, branch manager said: “We are delighted to support the Maidenhead Advertiser Top Pet 2025 competition.”

Voting has now gone live, and readers will have until Monday, July 14 to submit their votes.

A shocked kebab van owner is said to be ‘devastated’ after a fire tore through his van. Crews from Wargrave and Wokingham Road were called to fight the blaze which gutted the Dilara kebab van, parked in the grounds of Hare Hatch Sheeplands in London Road, on Wednesday last week. They were unable to salvage the van which was completed destroyed and police have yet to rule out arson. The family live in Reading but have asked not to be named.
