Live demonstrations from Michelin-starred restaurants and a luxury raffle are on offer as the Bray Village Fete returns ‘bigger and better’ this Sunday.

The much-loved event returned after more than a decade last year, with an action-packed ‘foodie fete’ enjoyed by hundreds of visitors.

Following its ‘runaway success’, organisers are building on that momentum and have planned an event that promises a day of ‘family fun, amazing food and celebration’ in the heart of Bray.

The fete will be officially opened at 11.10am by TV weather presenter Laura Tobin.

Guests will enjoy live music from The Tonic and Second Wind.

Bray’s Michelin-starred restaurants will be showing off their culinary skills and flavours on the day.

The Fat Duck and The Hinds Head, both part of the Heston Blumenthal restaurant group, and Giancarlo Caldesi’s Caldesi in Campagna will be serving up tasty dishes and hosting food demonstrations.

Monkey Island Estate will also be getting involved for the first time.

In another first for the fete, restaurants in Bray will gather in a dedicated food court, serving dishes at purse-friendly prices, so guests can sample a true ‘taste of Bray’.

Pet pooches will be entering the ever-popular dog show, with a host of categories for all ages and breeds.

Youngsters will have plenty of fun taking part in the kid’s fancy dress parade and the kiddies’ races.

Guests can browse a host of stalls on the day from local businesses and charities.

A luxury raffle will offer the chance to win several treats including gourmet dining experiences, luxury goods, exclusive vouchers, and a signed, personalised cookbook from celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal.

Other special guests on the day will include Royal Borough mayor Cllr Mandy Brar and Maidenhead MP Josh Reynolds.

Following the end of this year’s fete, the festivities will continue with an afterparty in The Pavilion at Maidenhead & Bray Cricket Club from 5pm.

Guests will enjoy live music, ‘great food’ and a ‘family-friendly atmosphere’.

Joanna Korczak, chair of the Bray Village Fete organising committee, said: “The Bray Village Fete is about more than entertainment, it’s about community.

“With live music, great food, children’s activities, and our brilliant sponsors, we’re expecting around 900 – 1,000 visitors to enjoy a day that truly captures the spirit of Bray.”

Simon King, managing director at The Fat Duck Group, said: “We were absolutely thrilled to take part in the return of the Bray Village Fete this year, with both The Hind's Head and The Fat Duck hosting stands at the festival, serving some of our most iconic creations, including our 'perfectly imperfect sweets’.

“This isn't just any fete, it is a true celebration of community, bringing together friends, families, and local businesses in the heart of the village we're so proud to call home."

Giancarlo at Caldesi in Campagna, said: “For us, it’s about more than food, it’s about coming together as a village and welcoming visitors to experience what makes Bray unique.”

In a statement, Monkey Island Estate said: “We’re so excited to be part of the Bray Village Fete for the first time.

“It’s a wonderful chance to showcase what we do and connect with the community in a new way.”
