Musical director and cabaret producer James Church will host an evening with Olivier award-winning actress Cassidy Janson next month.
Cassidy’s music career has catapulted over the past few years.
She played Anne Hathaway in Max Martin’s debut musical ‘& Juliet’ at The Shaftesbury Theatre. She won an Olivier award for the role.
From November 2015 to August 2017, Cassidy played Carole King in Beautiful at the Aldwych Theatre.
She received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike, plus was plauded by Carole King herself.
Cassidy’s other theatre roles include playing opposite Cynthia Erivo in Dessa Rose at the Trafalgar Studios and starring alongside Neil Patrick Harris in Tick, Tick… Boom! for the Menier Chocolate Factory.
She was also a member of the original London cast of Wicked, playing standby for Elphaba, and performed the role of Florence in Chess for English National Opera at the Coliseum with Michael Ball and Alexandra Burke.
In 2017, she joined music trio Leading Ladies, performing alongside Amber Riley and Beverley Knight.
Their acclaimed debut album was nominated for a Classical Brit Award.
In May 2021, Cassidy had the great honour of being the first person back on the West End Stage after the lockdowns in the newly relaunched production of The Mousetrap.
Cassidy will share stories and perform songs from her esteemed career on Saturday, June 7 at 8pm.
