Rail season ticket holders can claim for delayed train

Commuters will face more travel disruption as train drivers launch fresh strike action this week.

Members of ASLEF will walk out today (May 31) and Saturday (June 3), and the RMT union will strike on Friday (June 2).

Berkshire services affected by the strike days are Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, Elizabeth line, Great Western Railway, Heathrow Express and South Western Railway.

Passengers have been advised to check with the operator before travelling on strike days as there may be a limited skeleton service running core routes or no trains in operation.

Between June 1 - 2, Chiltern Railway will run a limited hourly train service between 8am and 10pm.

CrossCountry will have no service on May 31 and June 3 and will run a limited service on June 2.

Great Western Railway will run a limited service today and June 3 betweeen 7.30am and 6.30pm.

More Great Western routes will be open on June 2 including London Paddington to Bedwyn, Cardiff, Didcot and Plymouth as well as Maidenhead to Bourne End, Slough to Windsor and Slough to Twyford.

South Western Railway will have limited service on all three strike days, affecting routes between London Waterloo and Reading and Windsor & Eton Riverside on May 31 and June 3.

On June 2, a reduced South Western service will operate between 7am and 7pm.

Heathrow Express will run an hourly service today (May 31) between 7am and 7pm but will have no trains on June 3. A regular timetable will run on June 2.
