Businesses in Maidenhead's Nicholsons Centre have started moving out ahead of the centre's scheduled closure in the summer.
In December, tenants were informed that the long-standing shopping centre is scheduled to close in June to make way for its demolition and re-development by Areli.
The plans for the new Nicholson Quarter will deliver a major mixed-use development with shops, restaurants, offices, flats and a new multi-storey car park.
Ahead of the closure, some stores have already moved to an alternative location or left the town, while others have closing down signs on their shop windows.
To keep up-to-date with the latest changes, here is a list of which stores have already left the centre or are set to move out soon.
Card Factory: The long-standing Card Factory store next to Pandora closed its doors last year.
The store relocated onto Maidenhead High Street, opening at the newly-refurbished former Wilko site in November.
Timpson: The store was located in the Nicholsons Centre for a number of years.
It closed last year and has relocated to 99 High Street.
A sign has been up at the site of the former store informing shoppers about the move.
Eurochange: The foreign exchange service next to The Works left the Nicholsons at the end of last year.
A sign at the site states that shoppers can obtain travel money from nearby Hays Travel.
The Works: The discount retailer, which sells books, art and craft materials, toys, gifts, games and stationery, looks set to move into the former Barclays premises on Maidenhead High Street.
In November an application was submitted to RBWM to change the ground floor and remove the existing shopfront of 92 High Street.
The application also sought to convert the former banking unit into retail use and replace the shopfront, providing new signage and a new residential access.
The plans were approved by the council this month.
Trespass: The outdoor clothing retailer has been in the Nicholsons Centre for a number of years and currently has 'closing down' signs on its shop windows.
The signs state that the store will close on Monday, March 23.
Trespass has been contacted for comment.
Pandora: A spokesperson for the national jewellery brand said the store's lease in the Nicholsons Centre 'currently runs until October'.
They added that the company has not received 'any official confirmation form the landlord' about an earlier end to the lease.
At this stage, the company does not have 'any confirmed plans' to change its current arrangements and the store continues to trade as normal, the spokesperson explained.
Superdrug: The national health and beauty retailer has been serving the Maidenhead community from its store, situated next to Iceland, for numerous years.
A spokesperson for Superdrug said that at this stage 'there is no confirmed closure date' for the store.
They said: "We have been informed by the landlord that the Nicholsons Centre is expected to close in June 2026.
"At this stage, there is no confirmed closure date for the Superdrug store.
"We continue to trade as normal and will keep our customers and colleagues informed as soon as we have confirmation. We are, of course, supporting our colleagues throughout this process."
Iceland: The Iceland Foods store in the Nicholsons is set to close its doors 'later this year', and the company is looking at a potential alternative location.
A spokesperson for Iceland Foods said: “We can confirm that the Iceland Foods store at the Nicholsons Centre in Maidenhead will be closing later this year due to the redevelopment of the shopping centre.
"We are looking at a potential relocation in the area to continue serving our customers."
TGJones/The Post Office: The recently rebranded TGJones is currently in the process of looking for an alternative location 'within Maidenhead', a spokesperson has said.
The store was formerly known as WHSmith until the retailer sold its UK high street business.
A spokesperson said: "TGJones was given notice by the landlord that our lease will be terminated, effective June 2026.
"We are in the process of looking for an alternative location.
"All store and Post Office colleagues have been informed and will be kept up to date on any progress made.”
The Post Office, which is currently housed inside of TGJones, will be closing on May 16 at 2.30pm.
The Post Office has been advertising for retailers to run the service and in a recent update revealed it has received 'a large amount of interest from existing retailers in Maidenhead and people who want to start a business in Maidenhead'.
