A new boutique fitness studio with a cutting-edge infrared sauna has opened in Windsor.
Sweaty Bums opened at Trinity Yard off St Leonards Road on Friday and seeks to ‘revolutionise the group fitness experience’.
Fitness and wellness were always a ‘real passion’ for founder Sunny Bradbury who opened the studio in her hometown on Friday (October 11) with a meet-and-greet event.
Sunny said the business name felt ‘cheeky’ as ‘we don’t take ourselves seriously’ and envisions a space where everyone feels ‘motivated to tackle their fitness goals with a smile’.
“A lot of our classes are HIIT-based so we’re sweating through it yet cheeky and fun at the same time,” she told the Express.
“I was born and bred in Windsor and my goal is for the studio to become an essential part of the community.”
Sunny worked as a TV producer for 15 years for shows like Love Island and I’m A Celeb and qualified as a personal trainer eight years ago.
The 37-year-old fitness enthusiast ran PT sessions between contracts for colleagues and clients locally and, now with a young family, wanted to launch something of her own – a ten-month process.
“We’re all about the sweats and the smiles – making fitness fun and taking the guesswork out of class-based training,” she added.
“Our variety of classes offered each day means you can choose a class to fit your personality, fitness goals or simply based on how you’re feeling.”
Sweaty Bums offers an innovative split training schedule that targets different muscle groups daily.
“This means you can pick and mix the style of class that you like but ensure you’re getting a full body workout over the week,” said Sunny.
“A lot of the classes that are available at the moment, you turn up and don’t know if it’s going to be full body or more of a focus on the upper body.
“This makes it clear for people coming by and they’ll be able to see progression and change if they book and continue to do the programme with us for a six to eight-week period.”
A pool of ten trainers will offer a ‘whole mix’ of classes from high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and strength functional training to low-impact exercises or chill sessions.
Windsor town centre’s first-ever infrared sauna, offering red-light therapy, is also available at the studio to ‘detox and relax after a powerful workout’.
“[This] is a more effective alternative to traditional saunas, boosting the immune system, promoting cardiovascular health, and enhancing the recovery process,” added Sunny.
Sweaty Bums plans to partner with other businesses in the area with events and promotions to get the whole community involved.
The team are trialling classes over the coming weeks to get feedback and make the studio a ‘nice, sociable place to bring people together’.
Guy Thomas, Property and Asset Manager at Sorbon Estates said: “‘We are delighted to welcome our newest tenant, Sweaty Bums, to our vibrant community in Windsor.
“Sweaty Bums will be a fantastic addition, and we are excited to see how they will enhance the wellness offerings in our area and become a valued part of Trinity Yard.”
