2009: Baffled bus users were fuming at a proposed new route which they felt left them marooned.

The popular no6 bus, from Windsor town centre to Maidenhead town centre, used to make a number of stops in Maidenhead roads but changes meant it cut out the whole of Cookham Road.

The council later said it would try and reinstate the route.

2009: Sparkling jewellery and snappy sales patter caught the attention of shoppers.

Teams of teenage traders from across the Royal Borough were out in force for the annual Young Enterprise fair at Windsor Royal Station shopping centre.

Belts, T-shirts, pyjamas, mugs, jewellery and photographs were on offer from the contenders.

2009: Diggers rolled into Cox Green to start work on the new £24million replacement for Holyport Manor School (which would later be named Manor Green School).

Work began on the development of the state-of-the-art special school and respite centre in Highfield Lane ahead of a planned opening in September 2010.

2014: Everything from supplies to the use of people’s homes was offered as members of the community rallied together to help flood victims.

A flood help Facebook group attracted more than 4,000 likes in the space of 48 hours as residents and businesses co-ordinated efforts to help.

Among those helping were Ryan Spinks and Ollie Milsom, who spent the week towing cars to safety and ferrying people and dogs to dry land in Cookham.

2019: A lion dance helped town centre visitors celebrate the Chinese New Year as part of a vibrant display.

A display from Eagle Claw Kung Fu School and colourful lanterns helped celebrate the Year of the Pig.
