UPDATE: Cyclist killed in Bath Road was Anthony Hilson

A cyclist who died following a collision with a car in the Bath Road has been named as Anthony Hilson.

The 46-year-old, from Coneygree Close, Lower Earley, died after his bike was in collision with a grey Honda Accord on Sunday last week.

The collision took place close to the Wyevale Garden Centre in Floral Mile at about 10.40am.

Police are investigating the collision and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The Honda driver, a 37-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been bailed until November 9.

The Berkshire coroner has opened and adjourned an inquest into Mr Hilson's death, but no date has been fixed.
