South East Water has apologised for the disruption caused by a burst water main in Bridge Road this week.
Drivers faced lengthy tailbacks due to a set of temporary four-way traffic lights at the junction of Oldfield Road and Bridge Road.
The utility firm told the Advertiser the temporary lights were needed so workers could fix a burst water main.
The issue has now been resolved, the company said.
A South East Water spokesman said: “We’re really sorry to customers in the Bridge Road area of Maidenhead for the disruption to your journeys while we repaired a burst main.
“The main has now been repaired and the road has been reopened today.
“Once again, we’re really sorry for the inconvenience caused.”
