Below are the most significant planning applications in Slough from the past week. See all documents by entering the reference numbers into Slough council's online planning portal.
Withdrawn: Plans for 32 assisted living flats in Slough have been withdrawn by the applicant - having been in the system since December 2023.
Millennium House, based at 20-24 Lansdowne Avenue, is currently a hostel containing six bedsit units.
Bharani Care Ltd intended to demolish this and redevelop the site into an extra care/assisted care facility catering mainly to older people.
It would have included a communal dining/recreation room, among other features.
But the plans have now been withdrawn. Applicants need not give a reason for withdrawing any particular plans, and in some cases resubmit them with minor changes.

Pending: Plans are in to change a six-person HMO into a seven-person one at 12 Bromycroft Road in Britwell, Slough.
An HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) is a property where three or more people who are not part of the same family live together and share parts of it.
This particular HMO is a two-storey house with a shared kitchen, bathroom and communal facilities.
The plan is for every bedroom to span between 10sqm to 16sqm, with 6.51sqm being the minimum standard for a one-person bedroom.
The kitchen would be seven square metres and each bedroom would have an under-counter fridge/freezer unit for individual food storage.
It would retain its two parking spaces.
Pending: Plans are in to convert an office into flats in the centre of Slough.
The plans at numbers 3-5 Mackenzie Street (SL1 1XQ) near the Queensmere Observatory shopping centre includes two flats, one on the first floor, and one on the second.
As a ‘prior approval’ application, there are limited details provided. Developers must meet a national checklist of requirements surrounding natural light levels and space standards in habitable rooms, among others. No external changes can be made, such as extensions or outbuildings.

Pending: Another scheme is in to put a pair of three-bedroom semi-detached homes on land adjacent to 30 Burlington Avenue, Slough.
Burlington Avenue is characterised by predominantly two storey houses in pairs of semis that are broadly uniform in appearance.
Each of the proposed semi-detached homes would provide a kitchen, lounge/diner, toilet at ground floor, three bedrooms (two with en-suite) and a bathroom on the first floor.
Both buildings will have an internal area of 115sqm based in about 729sqm-sized plot.
“This is an opportunity to provide a more intensive form of development in a sustainable location within the settlement area to contribute towards the pressing housing needs and boosts the supply of housing,” wrote the applicants.

Pending: Another three-bedroom house plan is set for 82 Mercian Way in Cippenham Green, Slough.
It will replace an existing three-bedroom house on the site, according to the application form.
New or altered vehicle access is proposed to and from the public highway, though there were limited documents and details.
Ground floors will feature a dining, kitchen and lounge area and a toilet, while three bedrooms and a bathroom are proposed for the first floor.
There would be four parking spaces, replacing the three currently on site.
