Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a cyclist experienced a ‘frightening’ assault in Maidenhead.
The victim is a 55-year-old man who was cycling along the A308 towards Windsor, on Wednesday, June 24 at about 10.50pm.
Around the junction with St Lukes Road a car drove alongside the victim and the passenger threw a cold liquid onto his back.
The car, believed to be a grey BMW 118l, continued to drive alongside the victim until accelerating off after a couple of minutes.
The liquid thrown is not believed to be harmful and the victim did not sustain any injuries as a result.
Investigating officer PC Alexander Massey based at Maidenhead police station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim and I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward.
