Star Wars production firm faces court date after Harrison Ford breaks leg at Pinewood Studios

The production company behind the latest Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, is facing prosecution after Harrison Ford broke his leg at Pinewood Studios.

The 73-year-old actor suffered a broken leg and other injuries on June 12, 2014, when he was struck by a hydraulic metal door on the set of the Millennium Falcon at the studios in Iver Heath and had to be airlifted to hospital.

Foodles Productions faces four criminal charges for breaching health and safety law.

The company was due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday) but the case has been adjourned until June 9.
