Fireman Sam entertained children at the official opening of the Berkshire Dolls House and Model Shop on Saturday.
The Twyford store has recently undergone an extensive redevelopment during the autumn and was reopened to the public in September.
It now includes a ground floor shop, where construction courses will be run, and two apartments.
Plans for the three-story development were approved by planning officers earlier this year.
The store was officially reopened on Saturday by the owner Howard Phillip's father, who is well-known in the village as a retired doctor.
Howard (left) managed to get a fire engine to drive in for the opening with Fireman Sam, because the Wargrave Road building used to be a fire station.
