Man jailed for carring heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply

A man has been jailed for more than three years after admitting two counts of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

Carl Hoare, aged 20, of Bramshaw Road, Reading, was arrested on June 7 last year, in Lyndhurst Road, Reading, after he was stop checked by officers as part of an operation to target drug dealing in the area.

He was found carrying 50 wraps heroin and crack cocaine.

Hoare was charged in January and pleaded guilty at Reading Crown Court on August 1, where he was given a custodial sentence of three years and seven months.

PC John Chen said: “I hope this will act as a reminder to anyone who thinks of buy or selling drugs that there are serious consequences to this type of illegal activity.

“Drugs will not be tolerated anywhere in the Thames Valley and we will continue to work hard to tackle those who try to sell them.”
