Tis Marvellous again showed his liking for the Ascot track by winning the Oakman Group Rous Stakes in the hands of Adam Kirby on Saturday.
"He's an absolute superstar," commented Hungerford trainer Clive Cox.
It was the seven-year-old's fourth appearance at the course since July and his second consecutive win.
This time he had rain and soft going to contend with, but Cox added: "He is so full of confidence. To finish off the season like this is brilliant."
Tis Marvellous, a 5/1 shot for this five-furlong event, won by a length from the fast-finishing Minzaal, who ran a cracking race in his first run for 371 days.
Trainer Owen Burrows was "chuffed to bits" with the runner-up and may bring him back to Ascot for Qipco Champions Day a week on Saturday (October 16).
Burrows also saddled a winner last weekend with 85/40fav Hukum landing the ABF/BGC Cumberland Lodge Stakes by more than six lengths ahead of Eagles By Day in second place. He was another to relish the soft ground as the four-year-old clocked up his fourth victory of the season in impressive style
Winning jockey Jim Crowley went on to complete a double by taking the Equine Productions "The Fall" Challenge Cup on another favourite, Aldaary, one of eight winners at five different meetings on Saturday for Newmarket trainer William Haggas.
They also included the opening race at Ascot - the World Mental Healthy Day British EBF Stakes - which was won by With Thanks (7/2), the mount of Tom Marquand.
Vadream, with David Egan riding for Charlie Fellowes, won the John Guest Racing Bengough Stakes by a length from the Queen's Kings Lynn.
Tickets for next week's Champions Day, the nation's richest race day, start at £35, but King Edward VII and Winning Post enclosures are already sold out, as are most of the restaurants.
The UK has voted to leave the European Union in yesterday's referendum - and while the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead fell into the remain camp, Slough voted to support a Brexit.
