Owusu hails 'fantastic' Reading FC boss McDermott

Slough Town striker Lloyd Owusu has hailed the job his former boss Brian McDermott is doing at Reading FC.

McDermott was in charge of Slough when Owusu made his breakthrough for the club in the late 90s and the forward, who made his Rebels return at the weekend, says he was always destined for the top.

He said: "What he (McDermott) has done has been fantastic

"He was always destined to be a great manager in the game.

"He's doing an amazing job at Reading.

"He's worked really hard to get an opportunity and when it came, he took it."

Reading sit third in the Championship following Friday night's 1-0 win against Burnley.
