Burnham FC will play without fear at St Neots

Burnham FC boss Martin Stone says his side will play without fear when they travel to in-form St Neots on Saturday.

Stone insists the Blues will not hold back as they look to put a serious dent in the big-spending Cambridgeshire club’s title hopes.

He said:“After having a couple of weeks we couldn’t go to a tougher place than St Neots.

“They are flying at the moment and we know it will be very difficult.

“But we go into every game trying to get a result and this will be no different.

“We will go there, attack as much as we can and do our utmost to beat them.”

St Neots currently sit second in the table, three points behind Slough but with two games in hand.

So Stone knows any result for his side on Saturday will go down extremely well with his former club.

He said:“If we can get anything from the game it will be great for us and obviously it will be great for Slough.

“I’m sure it would make me popular there but I think I would have been a bit more

popular if I hadn’t taken four out of six points off them this season.”

Following the St Neots game, Burnham will travel to Chertsey Town on Tuesday night.

The Blues, who saw their game with Fleet Town postponed last week due to a frozen pitch, have a fully fit squad available to them for both games.
