A youth club for pupils in years eight and nine will start in Woodley this month.

The club is being run by Wokingham Borough Council’s youth service and will take place at the Woodley Airfield Youth Centre in Hurricane Way on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm.

Activities will include sports, games, and arts and crafts.

In the summer months youth leaders will try to organise outdoor pursuits such as kayaking and high rope courses.

Lead youth worker Kerry Legg, said: “We understand that many young people stay in and play on the computer or games station but this is a really good break from that.”
