Boy dies after being hit by car in Reading
A 12-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Kings Road, Reading yesterday.
The boy was struck by a white Audi A1 at about 4.22pm and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading before being transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
It was confirmed last night the boy would not recover from his injuries.
He passed away at 2.40pm today.
A 24-year-old man from Earley was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He has been released on bail to return to Londdon Valley Police Station on April 26.
