Borough council to outline budget for 2012/13

A new vision for Wokingham borough is set to be outlined this week.

Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) has drawn up its budget and vision for 2012/13, but warned it was being set at a time of reduced income from Government and unprecedented demand for its services.

The budget proposals will be considered by councillors at a meeting on Thursday.

A WBC spokesman said: “The borough council’s executive has undertaken a major exercise to create a new vision for the Wokingham Borough.

“Included in this vision are principles, those activities the council must continue to do to make the borough a great place to live, and priorities, those areas over the next three years, where greater focus will be given to make a real difference.”
